Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips. (Psalm 141:3 KJV)

LET US PRAY: Lord God, set a guard over my mouth, and keep a watch over the door of my lips. Teach me to hold my tongue when I do not have anything of importance to say, and to speak with confidence when I have something important to say. Lord, teach me to never give full vent to my anger, but love those who hate me, and pray for those who persecute me. Amen.
