A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls. (Proverbs 25:28)

Let us pray: Almighty Father, I give up myself to you and pray to put your Spirit within me. Shape me into your earnest kindness and cause me to walk in your decree. Grant me the grace of self-control and stop me from being angry and resentful. If I happen to forget to control my outburst, remind me instantly to seek for forgiveness from you and the people I’ve caused pain. I don’t want to live with anger lingering inside me where peace is out of reach and no pleasure and joy is ever experienced. Amen.
