Better is a poor person who walks in his integrity than one who is crooked in speech and is a fool (Proverbs 19:1)

Let us pray: Dear God, we may rejoice today for the freedom of our country but help us remember that the problems surrounding this nation are not completely over. Make us worthy, Lord, to serve our brothers and sisters who live and die in hunger, malnutrition, poverty and diseases. Show us the means on how to elevate and solve their situations. May you keep them with honor and integrity in spite of their sad situations. Give them hope and courage Lord to hold on to your promise. Amen.
