Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need. (Ephesians 4:28)

Let us pray: Lord God, is poverty really the cause of wickedness these days? Is it an excuse for someone to steal and murder just because his family and hungry and sick? Forgive us oh Father for the terrible things that we have been doing. Put a stop Lord to this madness. I do not think Lord that poverty is causing this whole nation to break down. Having a poor character and spirit is the real reason why sinfulness continues to happen. Purify us Lord and clean our spirits. Let us help one another. May the rich and the powerful do their part by providing opportunities to the needy and may our less fortunate brothers and sisters work hard and remain steadfast in you. Amen.
