Let us pray: Lord God, Almighty Father, master creator and author of peace, we bow our heads in prayer and thank you for the life we now enjoy. We also wish to give remembrance to our veterans and departed heroes who were front liners when World War II broke. We are always mindful of the cost paid for the liberty we now possess. And so we pray for the lives and souls of these beautiful people. We also pray for continuous blessing and guidance to the members of our armed forces. Grant them courage, hope and strength. Shield them with your gentle love, compassion and protection. May you be their light whenever they experience darkness. These we pray, in Jesus' name, Amen.
