When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his goods are safe; (Luke 11:21)

Let us pray: Lord God, your own Son, our Lord Jesus was delivered into the hands of the wicked, but he understood them and prayed for forgiveness for all his persecutors. May this inspire and relive the sufferings of the innocent victims of war and the soldiers who are still out there fighting for justice, freedom and peace. Grant them courage, determination and strength. Heal them Lord physically, emotionally and spiritually. Lastly, renew their faith so that they may still find reason to live and carry on no matter what happens. Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
