Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are destitute. Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy. (Proverbs 31:8-9)

Let us pray: Glory to you oh Lord for all the blessings you have given us. You are our true savior, protector and provider. As we celebrate our abundance, we pray that may all citizens of this nation share these blessings to those who have sought refuge in this land. Guide our hands and let them work in your glory by helping those who are in need. May we help them in their pursuit of a better, more dignified life. These we ask in Jesus’ name, Amen.
