And I will give you a new heart with new and right desires, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony heart of sin and give you a new, obedient heart. And I will put my Spirit in you so you will obey my laws and do whatever I command. (Ezekiel 36:25-26)

Let us pray: Heavenly Father, let the year 2017 a year of great beginnings. Cleanse us and create in us a new life. Fill us with your Holy Spirit. Make us more compassionate, more faithful, more loving, more forgiving, more joyful and more peaceful. Unite the whole world and help us spread your good news of salvation and eternal life. Bless us, your children, that we may be able to turn this year brighter than the last. Amen.
