We who are strong have an obligation to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up. (Romans 15:1-2)

Let us pray: God of grace and righteousness, as this nation celebrates its Independence Day, remind us that freedom was allowed, not for the benefit and pleasure of some, but for your glory and the good of everyone. Let your wisdom and mercy keep this nation and all nations peaceful. Bless each citizen to do his duty for his country and fellow. Do not let greed and selfishness ruin this glorious nation Lord. These we ask in Jesus’ name, Amen.
