What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don't they come from your desires that battle within you? (James 4:1)

Let us pray: Our God of mercy and forgiveness, take away the pride that may grow in the hearts of your people. It is because of pride that corrupts our hearts and leads us into all kinds of fighting and war. Send your Holy Spirit to direct our thoughts and feelings. May sinful desires against others be automatically subdued. Help us Lord grow in prayers and desire only for your grace. Amen.
