Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority, or to governors as sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and the praise of those who do right. (1 Peter 2:13)

Let us pray: Lord God, we all belong to you. You are the power that builds and lights this nation to the right path. Bind us together with your love and protection and encourage us to act as one. May we put aside our differences to avoid conflicts and violence.  May we respect the dignity and rights of one another. Open our ears to hear your call for solidarity and equality. Amen.
