SPECIAL PRAYER FOR MARRIAGES: Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered. (1 Peter 3:7 KJV)

LET US PRAY: Lord, I pray for all marriages. I pray that the husband treats the wife with more respect, love, and kindness. Give him the understanding to see things from her point of view that his prayers may not be hindered, and he may find favor before You. Make him slow to anger, quick to forgive, and swift to listen. Give him tolerance to identify her faults, look beyond it, and appreciate the great things about her. I pray that the wife submits to her husband; treating him with love, respect, and kindness. May she be more humble that she may submit to her husband just as You want her to. May she see herself as a helper from You to him, helping him to draw nearer to You, helping him to accomplish difficult and challenging tasks, being with him through thick and thin, and always being there to encourage him when the going gets tough and rough. Lord, may they be like one body under You; complimenting each other. You said that two are better than one because they have a good reward for their labor. Lord, bless the works of their hands. May they be there to lift the other when one fails. May the works of the devil never prevail over their marriage. Just as You brought them together, keep them together. May they raise their children under Your light to serve You in truth and in spirit. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
