Why Pray the Scriptures?

To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified. (Isaiah 61:3 KJV)

LET US PRAY: Lord, I want to start seeing myself just as You see me. I want to see my self through Your eyes. I want to see others through Your eyes too that I may love them just as You love them too. Lord, I declare that I am blessed, established, strengthened, settled, beautiful, and prosperous in Your sight. Replace my ashes with beauty, mourning with joy, and heaviness with praise. I know that You see me as a crown of glory and honor; an exceedingly beautiful royal diadem in Your hand, and I want to thank You for loving me so much. Lord, speak to me for I listen. Show me the path to follow, the words to speak, the decisions to make, and the attitudes to retain and those to discard. Lord, I declare that I am eating the wealth of nations, and I have found victory over the devil. The shame I use to feel, may I feel it no more because I am now a victor and not a victim. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
