LESSON: How can someone conclude that there is no God? It really perplexes me to know that there are still some people who debunk the fact that there is a God, Almighty, loving, and caring. I'm a scientist, and I believe that there is a God. Science doesn't disprove the existence of God. In fact, the intelligible design of the Universe supports the fact that there must have been an intelligent Designer who is responsible for such intelligent balance.
For example, the earth revolves around the sun at a distance that just supports life. I used the word 'just' because a slight change in the position of the earth from the sun will cause death of all living things. If the earth just a little bit closer, it will be too hot to support life. If I was a little bit further, it will be too cold to support life. God made it exactly where it is in order for it to support the life He has given us. Isn't that amazing?
Look at nature. How beautiful she is. How do we have the ability to appreciate beauty? How can we tell that something or someone is beautiful? Isn't that an amazing sense given to us from God? Regardless of these amazing facts that points to the existence of a loving and all-powerful Creator, many are lost in ignorance. When we deny the existence of God, we deny the existence of His grace upon us. We lose the hope and future He has in store for us. We lose the gift of eternal life. We lose our identity. We lose our citizenship, which is not of this world, but of somewhere much bigger: heaven.
If we believe that man is so intelligent, imagine the intelligence of our Maker? If we can love our own children, imagine the love of our Maker? The ways of God is infinitely above ours, and we dare not ignore, deny, or dismiss His existence. Without Him, we can do nothing, and we are nothing, whether we acknowledge this or not.
LET US PRAY: Lord, thank You for always being there for me, never leaving me or forsaking me. Thank You for everything; the gift of life, good health, sound mind, and supply of my basic needs. Lord, I pray today, not for myself, but for all the lost souls out there. I pray for all those who deny Your existence. Lord, I know that You do hate them, and I shouldn't either. I know that I shouldn't judge them or condemn them, rather I should pray for them, and that's why I come to You today, asking You to send Your Spirit to each and every one of them that they may experience Your love in a very special, unforgettable, and non-ignorable way. Lord, may they come to know the loving and awesome You, that they may find the peace that comes with knowing and loving You. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
