He that is void of wisdom despises his neighbor: but a man of understanding holds his peace. (Proverbs 11:12)
Let us pray: Heavenly Father, I come to you and seek for
your guidance and wisdom once more. Please remind me always that I cannot
change my fellowmen but I can only improve myself and personally work for a
harmonious relationship with them. I lift up to you my concern about my
neighbors who have done me several spiteful deeds in the past up to these days.
She, who started spreading rumors about me and my work. He, who hold grudges
when my family was unable to lend him money. She, who never managed to return
my smile nor greetings. I can choose to retaliate with unkind words or ask the
help of the authority to teach them lessons but I will do that dear God. I
would rather keep my calm and my composure. I would rather pay kindness to
those who have done me evil than become spiteful myself. For this is your way
Father God and this is what our Lord Jesus has taught us. Create in me a kind
and understanding heart. Amen.
