Why Pray the Scriptures?

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:1-2 KJV)

LET US PRAY: Lord, I offer my body, mind, and soul as a living sacrifice to You, holy, pleasing and acceptable to You. Lord, may my body be Your dwelling, my mind be Your temple, and my soul be Yours. Shower me with Your mercy that I may prosper both in body and soul. I worship You with all my heart, asking You to keep my feet firm along the path of righteousness that I may not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of my mind through Your Spirit that dwells in me. Lord, may Your good, pleasing and perfect will be done in my life. Amen.
