Let us pray: God our Father, we pray for your light to shine upon your people most especially the leaders of the different sectors in our nation. Lead them so that they may also lead every citizen in pursuit of a quiet and peaceable life. Let godliness and honesty come out from their mouths and actions. May our government officials together with our church leaders, police authorities, business leaders and social group heads protect and preserve human dignity and civil and religious rights of every human being. May they seek you always so that they can commit to their big responsibilities of making this nation peaceful and orderly. Amen.

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. (1 Timothy 2:1-2)
