Let us pray: God our Father, as we commemorate the glorious achievements of our leaders and people in the past in connection with our Independence Day, we would like to offer you thanksgiving and praise for all the blessings that you showered us since then. May we use the gift of freedom to really end the problems on poverty, discrimination, corruptions and immorality in this country. May all citizens acknowledge the importance of each and every one in nation building. May we finally learn to set aside our differences in race, in opinion, in economic status and even in gender so that we could focus in making this country truly united and successful. These we ask in mighty name of Jesus, our Lord. Amen.

For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. (Galatians 5:13)
