Let us pray: God, we recognize your control and power over
your creations. You formed the wind and water, fire and volcanoes, thunder and
storms. We may not fully understand the reason behind every calamity that hit
us but we do know Lord that you also calm them. Grant us faith to seek your
mercy in times of natural disasters. Reach out your hand to us when we are
afraid and helpless. Hear the cries of your people most especially those from
children, women and the elderly. We pray through Jesus Christ, our light, hope
and savior, Amen.
