Let us pray: Lord, listen to our pleas. We come to you pained and wounded. We have witnessed and suffered enough violence in our community and even in our own home. We come to you Lord like helpless children needing the comfort and gentleness of their mother. We are in need of your healing. Grant us the strength and transform our worries and pains into joy once more. Lord, we also don’t want to live with bitterness and vengeance in our heart so help us turn our misery into hope, hatred into love and rage into joy. Help us forgive our transgressors as we pray for justice to take place in this world forever. Amen.
