Why Pray the Scriptures?

Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. (James 4:11)



Let us pray: Heavenly Father, may you please guide my thoughts and my lips. Refrain me from inflicting pain to others. Even if I don’t like a person or if a person has done something ill to me, please help me retaliate with kindness instead. Make me humble even in times of success or defeat. Amen.
