Why Pray the Scriptures?

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. (James 1:5)

Let us pray: Loving and generous Father, I owe you my life and everything. I pray for the gift of discernment. Please guide me that you always look after me and guide me with my decisions in life. Allow me to see the bigger picture instead of just focusing on my own benefits. Amen.
