Let us pray: Our freedom-loving God, bless this
nation that you have created and set free from the hands of tyrants and
oppressors. We pray that on this day, keep all of us grounded not in our own strength
and will but in yours. Inspire us Lord to work hand in hand for peace, progress
and unity. Help us accomplish worthy deeds that would glorify your name. Amen
