Why Pray the Scriptures?

Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, we ought to obey God rather than men. (Acts 5:29)

Let us pray: Oh Lord God, there are many alluring messages and promises in this world and all kinds of leaders offering us “good things.” Please help me to choose obedience and to obey you rather than men. Amen.
