Why Pray the Scriptures?

Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? (Matthew 7:3)

Let us pray: My Lord Jesus, I am ashamed by my actions. Please forgive me for looking down and judging others. I feel terrible for behaving that way. I know that I have so many imperfections as well. Help me to remember always that compassion and understanding should only fill our hearts. Amen.
