Let us pray: Most gracious and holy Father, you are powerful and
your greatness is infinite. But because we have little understanding we create
wrong notions such as You would punish us and bring us distraction if we don't
follow your words. We also have the illusion that even if we don't work harder
everything will turn out alright because You are there and You will never leave
us. Most of us would often quote words in the Bible and use it out of context
just to prove our point and gain victory. Forgive us Lord for lacking so much
knowledge and understanding of Your true intent. We pray that we genuinely
discover Your greatness. Grant us the wisdom so that we seek You even in the
most unlikely places and in the person of a stranger. Teach us to discover Your
love in ever passages that we read. Let your every word penetrate our hearts
and turn us into a better Christian. These we pray, in Jesus' name,
Amen.
