Why Pray the Scriptures?

Seeing the people, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dispirited like sheep without a shepherd. (Matthew 9:36)

Let us pray: Dear Jesus Christ, I humble myself and come to You the best way I know. I am suffering mentally and emotionally as a result of my wrong decisions and actions in the past. I am truly sorry Lord; I know how much you took the punishment for my sins. I want to move on already and live a happy life. Please guide and help me make a brand new start. Welcome me in your loving and affectionate arms. Amen
