The will of God for each and every one of us differs from our will for ourselves. God is Omniscient and this means that He knows everything; He is the ultimate source of knowledge. Though God's plan for us may not be what we want, it is always the best for us though we may not understand His ways.
One of my favorite quotes is 'God is subtle, but He is not malicious'. This means that God's way is not the way of man and sometimes we often do not understand Him. This makes our God indescribable for there is no adequate word in the Dictionary that will completely describe His awesomeness. Nevertheless, though we may not be able to understand God's way, His plan for everyone of us is good and not bad. He will never do anything to harm us and He has promised that in the Holy Bible.
In Jeremiah 33:3, God says 'Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not'. God's plan for us is for us to prosper and live a life of fullfillment. Let me share a quick story with you:
When I was 17 (that's like five years ago), I wanted to send an email to my publisher with an attachment of the first ten chapters of my book. Today was the deadline to send my manuscript in. The internet connection was terribly slow and it took over two hours attaching my manuscript to the mail, yet, the upload wasn't complete.
I grew impatient. I decided to 'cancel' the attaching process, and take this misfortune as fate, but God's plan for me was otherwise. God wanted me to know that patience is an important virtue and that His
plan for me is not misfortune but prosperity. As I was about to click the 'cancel' link, the upload process went into completion. I was so surprised how close I was at quitting at the end of the race. I kept asking myself, 'What if you tried to cancel the upload process a bit earlier'.
Then I realized that the darkest time of the night is the closest to the morning light, and that it had to get ugly before things can get pretty. I learned about the importance of the word 'patience'. Patience is not only the ability to wait, it is also the ability to keep a good attitude while waiting. All we need to do is to take it slow. Everything will work itself out fine. All we need is just a little patience. God feeds the bird in the sky day after day; He caters for their needs. So He will do for you and I.
LET US PRAY:
Lord Jesus, grant me patience. I want to wait for the right time which is Your time for me. I want You to give me the ability to understand Your plans for me, and when I fail to understand, give me the patience to remain calm and cheerful while waiting for Your will in my life to manifest. Thank You Lord for everything. Amen.
