PRAYING RIGHT: Three Great Ways to Start Your Month with Prayer

When we come to God in prayer, He is honored because we acknowledge that He has the power to give us that which we seek. When we pray first before any undertaking, we honor God in a very special way. He is often displeased when we do something without Him (Isaiah 30:2). He always want to be involved in our lives.

Aren't you eager to please God? We have come close to the end of the first month of the year, and it will be wonderful if we start the new month with constant prayer. Our lives will never be the same. Imagine twenty-eight complete days to show God how much you love and trust in Him. Remember that everything work together for good to them that love God and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).

Here are three great ways to start your month with prayer:

1. Daily morning prayer:
This should usually be done between 7.00-7.30 AM everyday throughout the entire month. This is usually before work.

2. Battle fronts of prayer:
This should be done usually in the midweek. Some may choose Wednesday, while some Thursday. Whichever day of the week work for you is okay. I personally love doing mine on Wednesdays. The earlier the better. During this day, we direct our prayer to God, asking Him to protect us from the enemy. We pray against the enemy because the earth is a battlefield. Remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12).

3. Night of prayer:
This should usually be done between 11.00PM-1.00AM. Praying at night is a great way of saying to God with your whole body and soul that you need Him. We tell Him that we need Him more than we need sleep. Remember that when we seek God with all our heart, we will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13).

Remember that God embraces those who embrace Him, and deny those who deny Him (Matthew 10:32-33). It is time we embraced Him.
