Below, I will give you three brief guidelines for your prayer:
1. Stay steadfast in prayer:
We often give up praying, when things remain the same, and our impatient heart tells us that God isn't interested in helping us, and nothing will get better. That's not true. God's timing is not the same as ours. He is never in a hurry but He is always on time. Just as the heaven is infinitely above the earth, so is God's understanding above ours. We need not to rely on our understanding, but lean on God's understanding. We need to ask for wisdom and patience.
God wants us to pray always and never lose heart (Luke 18:1-8). The greatest test of a Christian is the ability to persevere in prayer in the state of confusion. God wants us to finish the prayer race we have started that at the end, He will reward our faith with abundant blessings from above.
2. Remain watchful in prayer:
As Christians we need to stay alert. The devil is constantly roaming the earth in search for whom to steal, kill and destroy. We need to put on the full armor of God that we may protect ourselves from the wiles of the devil. We need to stay awake in prayer. Have you ever prayed in the night while many are asleep? When Jesus asked His disciples to pray, but found them sleeping, He said to Peter, "Could you not watch one hour? Watch and pray, that you may not enter into temptation" (Mark 14:37).
3. Be thankful in prayer:
It is the Will of God that we give thanks to Him in every situation. I urge You to use Your prayers to honor and glorify God too. Thank Him for the gift of life and good health, because I have come to understand that when we thank God for what He has blessed us with, we motivate Him to bless us with even much more.
