LET US PRAY: Dear God, I am pretty selfish. It’s hard to admit it, but I
rarely give you the attention you deserve. This world was not created for our
personal pleasures or by our ingenuity. Adam and Eve did not just appear, nor
were directed to be lazy onlookers. We were given life to be in your service
and to be the keepers of your magnificent creation. As stewards of your land,
we are here for the total glorification of the one, true God. Yes, you give
each of us special qualities that we can use to contribute to your world. But
please do not allow us to seek our own glorification because we are so proud of
our skills. We are nothing without you, and useless if we follow a personal
agenda. Let us take pride in our service to you. Please help us to do all
things with you in mind and with joy-filled actions. We are alive today,
tomorrow and forever because of your grace. I pray we remember this as we serve
your kingdom. Amen.
