Let us pray: Our Father in Heaven, I don’t want to move so fast and block the blessings wrapped in your perfect plans for me. Remind me to slow down and appreciate the simplicity of things and the value of people around me. Teach me not to become competitive and envious of the achievements of others. Discipline me Lord when it comes to desiring material possessions and earthly riches. With Jesus Christ as my motivation, I would rather live in poverty with the purest spirit rather than become rich with no friends or love ones to celebrate in my achievements. Amen.
