Let us pray: Father in Heaven, as we celebrate the New Year,
we pray for renewal of our spirits. May we always do the right thing and pass
on your goodness to our fellowmen. Strengthen us and grant us the courage to
face bravely whatever difficulties and obstacles that may get in our way.
Humble us Lord to accept our own mistakes and teach us to become happy and
contented even though we lack material riches on Earth. Fill us with your love
this year. Amen.
