Why Pray the Scriptures?

But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.” (Mark 10:6-9)

Let us pray: God our Father, in this time when so many people have lost their faith in love and marriage, You have led me to a very wonderful person who made me believe in love again. I thank you Lord for bringing this person into my life. I believe that he is your way of saying that the world is a beautiful and happy place. And as we start a life together as husband and wife, I pray that you bless our union. Seal it with your love. Keep us faithful and teach us to keep it stronger each day. Lastly, let no evil break us apart. I pray these in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
