(Proverbs 1: 8-9 KJV)
My son, hear the instruction of thy
father, and forsake not the law of thy mother: for they shall be an ornament of
grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.
LET US PRAY: Dear Lord in Heaven, I pray for understanding
the way to learn the wise and gracious teachings of my father and mother. I
call your mighty spirit to break any bonds of past generational sins, unwise
choices, and bad examples that they may have set. In the areas that my father
and mother may have come up short with their teachings, I release and forgive
them, and pray that your spirit would fill my gaps and shortfalls, and give them
peace. I am proud to place the necklace
of grace and wisdom upon around my neck to guide my ways, and as a symbol to
others of my faith, according to your will.
In Jesus' name I pray.
