Let us pray: Heavenly Father, thank you for
giving us grandparents who look after our welfare even in the presence of our
own parents. Their personal experiences and stories give us so much
enlightenment. They give us sound advice and their moral uprightness are worthy
of copying. Forgive us Lord if sometimes, we get tired listening to their
repetitive tales. Forgive us during those times when we disregard their
presence without considering their feelings. Help us to humble ourselves when
speaking to them. Teach us to always pay them utmost respect so that when we
grew up, we may receive the same respect from own grandchildren. Amen

In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, "God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble." (1 Peter 5:5)
